Why This Role is Exciting

The Director of Web Strategy will lead the development and execution of our digital presence, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhancing user engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of web technologies, user experience, and digital marketing within the B2B SaaS industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving meaningful outcomes via marketing-owned web properties, ultimately optimizing online platforms to support customer acquisition and retention.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive web strategy that aligns with business goals, enhancing customer acquisition, retention, and brand perception.

  • Optimize the website for performance across key acquisition channels, ensuring scalability and performance.

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers and agency partners to ensure cohesive execution of web projects.

  • Implement personalization, A/B testing, and analytics tools to optimize user experiences.

  • Partner with product and content marketing teams to maintain accurate and engaging content.

  • Oversee SEO and CRO initiatives to increase organic traffic and improve search rankings.

  • Coordinate with IT, design, and marketing teams to support product launches, campaigns, and events.

  • Ensure the website’s CMS and hosting platforms support long-term scalability and integrations with martech tools.

  • Act as the primary web strategy point of contact for internal stakeholders.

Attributes for a Successful Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media, web development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in web strategy, with a minimum 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Expertise in web development technologies, CMS platforms (e.g,. WordPress, Drupal, Sanity, Webflow), and marketing technologies such as Salesforce and Google Analytics.

  • Strong knowledge of SEO, SEM, UI/UX best practices, and performance optimization.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Experience working cross functionally to design ideal buyer journeys and digital experiences.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with executives and C-suite stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a comprehensive website transformation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user experience best practices.

  • Strong background in project management, with a track record of successfully leading complex initiatives from inception to completion.
