Researching and understanding our users’ needs, behaviors, and personal goals is an integral part of AuditBoard's success in designing and developing industry-leading products that deliver value for the people who use them, and for AuditBoard’s businesses.
As an UX Researcher, you’ll help build and shape our discovery and research process. You play a critical role to collaborate with product designers, product managers, and engineers in creating useful, usable, and delightful products. You’ll explore user behaviors and motivations by conducting primary research such as interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing etc. and drive impact at all stages of product development.
Responsibilities
Work with key stakeholders including designers, researchers, product managers and engineers to identify and develop research objectives, goals, timelines and execution plans in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Define, plan and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences to drive actionable changes in AuditBoard's growth strategy.
Collect and analyze user behavior through various research methodologies such as ethnographic research, behavioral research, focus groups, diary studies, user interviews, surveys, usability testing, journey mapping, benchmark studies, A/B testing etc. to aid in the formulation of insights that influence our product strategy/roadmap and improve our user experience across multiple products.
Influence, coordinate, and partner closely with product design and product management to democratize and drive continuous product discovery and user research processes.
Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through good-quality reports and presentations.
Attributes for a Successful Candidate
Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Anthropology, Human Development, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related field.
3 years of work experience in market product, customer, user experience, or a closely related occupation.
Experience defining, planning, and executing research studies including outlining of objectives, goals, audiences, segments, metrics, and timelines.
Experience with digital product development, user experience research & design, HCI concepts, and qualitative & quantitative research methods and tools.
Knowledge of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process.
Experience in fostering and developing research aptitude and competencies among development partners and leadership stakeholders.
Experience with Qualtrics and Figma for research planning, program/project management, digital workshops, reporting and analysis for software development.
Experience working with and presenting research results to senior stakeholders.
Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be "quantified" by "time."
5% domestic travel is required for this role.
Telecommuting is permitted.
Compensation Range
$124,000-$159,000
