Scenario Planning 101: From uncertainty to actionable insight and executive buy-in
Static risk plans won't survive today's uncertainty. Learn the mechanics of Bow-tie analysis and Monte Carlo simulation to get actionable insights.

Description
This webinar is your foundational guide to understanding and building effective risk scenarios. We will begin with the basics, defining risk events, causes, and consequences, and then introduce practical tools. You will learn the mechanics of bow-tie analysis to visually map out causal relationships, and explore how monte carlo simulations can quantify the full spectrum of potential financial impact—from best-case to worst-case outcomes. We will review compelling examples of scenarios to build and model. Finally, we'll cover the essential steps for creating a rapid response plan and, most importantly, building a strong, data-backed business case to secure executive buy-in for mitigation investment.
- Define the core components of a risk event and utilize Bow-tie analysis to visually map the causal relationship between a central risk, its causes, and its consequences.
- Explain the purpose of Monte Carlo simulation and to leverage the modeling to analyze likelihood, impact and confidence levels.
- Construct a compelling executive-ready business case for mitigation investment by demonstrating potential impact on your organization.
