Melissa Pici serves as the Senior IT Audit Manager at Syniverse, having joined the organization over 19 years ago. In her role with the multinational organization, she works with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, GRC, and Operations aiding them in understanding the criticality of a risk and controls-based foundation and the interconnectedness in everyday operations. Melissa manages and drives the annual SOC/ICFR audits, as well as designs and executes risk-based operational audits providing further insight to executive management in making risk-based decisions for the business. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Information Security and Assurance, in addition to studies in project management and data science. She is currently working towards a Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity with a focus on Artificial Intelligence. Melissa holds CISA and CDSP certifications.
Anton Dam is the Vice President of Engineering for Data, AI/ML at AuditBoard. In his role, Anton is responsible for the development and deployment of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to enhance audit, risk, and compliance workflows. His experience includes developing enterprise AI products at LinkedIn and Workday, as well as at startups such as Restless Bandit and Skupos.
Terry O’Daniel is the Head of Security at Amplitude. Drawing on his background in Engineering and Security, Terry builds teams that are focused on applying technology to solve GRC problems at scale via automation and instrumentation rather than compliance-by-spreadsheet. Terry also served as the Head of GRC and interim Head of Security at Instacart during a period of high growth, bringing a strong focus on cyber risk management to the everyday operations of keeping Instacart’s systems compliant and data secure. Before Amplitude and Instacart, Terry built the Security Assurance function at Netflix, the 2LOD Technology Risk & Compliance functions at Salesforce, and the GRC function within Production Engineering at Yahoo!
Nick Hamilton is the Head of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) at OpenAI, where he spearheads the organization’s efforts to ensure robust risk management, regulatory adherence, and effective governance practices. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Nick is a seasoned expert in identifying and mitigating risks, developing comprehensive compliance programs, and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability. Before joining OpenAI, Nick held senior roles at Palantir and SandboxAQ where his strategic vision and deep understanding of regulatory landscapes have been instrumental in navigating complex compliance requirements and enhancing organizational resilience. Nick holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems.
