Kunal Pradhan is an experienced technology risks and controls SME; specialising in automation of control operations for SOX compliance. Over the past 14 years, Kunal has witnessed the reliance put by organisations on technology, and how the need for robust IT controls has become fundamental given the evolution of the technology and risk landscape.
Leveraging AI in how organisations operate, and test controls is key to increasing efficiency and reducing costs, and Kunal has been working with LOD1 and LOD2 teams to push this initiative.
Shehryar Humayun is the Audit Director (or Managing Director equivalent) – Models, Data and Applied Sciences at Lloyds Banking Group where he has oversight of three teams: the one that covers Data Risk from thematic perspective across the Group, the Models Risk team that leads audit coverage of Models across the bank, and the Data Science team that supports audits through the use of data analytics and data science, and delivers innovation in this space. Shehryar is a software engineer by qualification, and after spending his initial career in tech, he moved to audit. He has since worked for the Big 4 and a number of Global banks, with Deutsche Bank being the last one before joining Lloyds. Shehryar built up the Data Analytics capability for Group Audit at Lloyds, starting from almost a non-existent team to an industry leading Data Science team at the forefront of innovation within audit. Shehryar is passionate about data and innovation – the two themes that have been consistent throughout his career!
Vi Tran, CPA, CIA, is a Product Marketing Manager at AuditBoard, where she leverages her background in audit and internal controls to enhance marketing strategies and outreach efforts. Before joining AuditBoard, Vi served as an External Auditor at PwC, gaining valuable experience in auditing methodologies and regulatory compliance. She later transitioned to Targa Resources as an Internal Controls Senior Analyst, specializing in internal control processes and risk management frameworks. Vi also held the role of Associate Manager at The Siegfried Group, where she consulted and provided accounting assistance to Fortune 1000 companies during critical times of need.
