While business and infosec leaders are eager to gain benefits from AI, many are still figuring out what that will look like. In a new survey conducted by the SANS Institute and sponsored by AuditBoard, 50% of respondents say their organization is currently using AI for security-related tasks, and 30% plan to in the next 12 months.
However, only 35% have a formal AI risk and compliance program in place, and 42% are still in the early stages of policy development, suggesting that governance may be lagging behind implementation.
The report offers an in-depth look at common AI use cases in security, the current state of AI governance, and how AI is transforming security roles.
